Rally the cat

Rally came to us as a stray with a serious eye injury. Thanks to your generous support, we were able to provide the surgery he desperately needed. Today, Rally is living a happy, healthy life—proof that every donation makes a difference.

Wickiup Animal Hospital created the Pets in Need Fund in partnership with the Veterinary Care Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, to expand our efforts in helping local pets in dire situations. Since the foundation’s operating expenses are covered by WAH’s membership dues, 100% of every dollar donated to the Pets in Need Fund is used to treat sick or injured animals at Wickiup Animal Hospital.

Wickiup Animal Hospital donates $10 from every end-of-life procedure at our clinic in remembrance of a beloved pet. This initiative has enabled
us to allocate over $9,000 directly to pets that we have treated here at the clinic.

The Pets in Need Fund is currently restricted to the following cases:

Funding for Good Samaritan cases:

  • Funding for abandoned pets
  • Emergency and medical care for lost or injured pets
  • Care for pets harmed or displaced by natural disasters
  • Support for local animal rescue organizations
  • Provision of low-cost spay/neuter clinics

Please note that you cannot apply for assistance from this program.
Funds are available only for the cases listed above and depend on
available funding. If you need financial assistance for your owned pet,
please contact us for a list of financial assistance programs available
to pet owners. Owners can apply for those grants directly.
